Esports, or competitive video gaming, has surged in popularity, with skilled players competing in events from local to international level.
 
From their magnificent Southport campus, GeSS Education’s Esports program is now in full swing with eager students – at the starting line – to make a career in this multi-billion-dollar industry which is projected to generate $1.6 billion in 2023.
 
While my gaming skills are extremely rusty, GeSS Education has already produced its first champion with Lucas Malissa who winning the Olympic Esports Series ISSF Challenge in Singapore featuring Fortnite – Australia’s first esports gold medal.
