The Enchanted Garden was the theme to raise money for local charities as part of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust. Great to connect with Adrian Schrinner and thank you to Martin Rowen for inviting Jan-Maree McGregor and myself to the event.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust has been caring for the Brisbane community since the 1950s. They provide critical grants and support to local and grassroots charities who help people dealing with our city’s biggest social challenges.
They believe that addressing these challenges, whether it’s homelessness, domestic violence or supporting people with illness or disability, requires community effort.
Across Brisbane, people rely on these little-known charities for food, support and hope. Unlike other major charitable organisations, these neighbourhood charities receive little financial support from corporates or government entities.
They need as much support as those who rely on them do.
